Sightseeing and bushwalking options from Reynella

Reynella is perfectly located for short sightseeing drives or bush walks around the high country, with Kosciouszko national park and Namadji national park on our doorstep.

The new town of Adaminaby is only 8 kilometres away (the original was flooded with the creation of Lake Eucumbene in the 1960s).

Yarrangobilly Limestone Caves are situated just off the Snowy Mountains Highway beyond Mount Selwyn. The system of 60 caves offers 4 public caves containing some of Australia’s most beautiful limestone formations and a natural thermal swimming pool available for you to swim in year round.

The ghost town of Kiandra is also situated nearby. Home of the short-lived gold rush of 1860-61, the town has a number of historic locations for you to wander through.

The world famous Snowy Mountain Hydro-Electric Scheme (Australia’s largest engineering project) is very visible in the Reynella region with lakes, dams and power stations available for visiting.

During winter, the ski slopes of Selwyn Snowfields beckon just 40 minutes drive away. Perfect for beginner/intermediate skiers. Perisher Blue/Skitube, for the more advanced skier can be reached within approximately 90 minutes.
